AYLWARD:
"Newfoundland native, Brian Aylward, stepped on stage based on a bet, in 2005. Since then, he has established himself as an international stand-up act. Brian pioneered the English stand-up comedy scene in South Korea, where he worked as a full-time EFL teacher in Seoul, between 2007-2010. During this time, he performed hundreds of shows for expat audiences across Asia, in places such as Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. While living in Seoul, Brian was a humor columnist for Groove Magazine.
Since returning to Canada in December, 2010, Aylward's accolades have included FUNNY FACTOR - Halifax's Funniest ( 2011 Winner ), 2011 YUK YUKS GREAT CANADIAN LAUGH-OFF ( Newfoundland Winner ) and 2011 XM Radio's CANADA'S NEXT TOP COMIC ( Finalist ). Aylward has performed at the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival, Newfoundland Screech Comedy Festival and Hubcap Comedy Festival. In April, Brian is performing at the 2012 Halifax Comedy Festival. Brian has been featured on CBC television, CBC Radio's " Laugh Out Loud " and XM Radio's " Laugh Attack. "
BLACK:
"Originally from the west coast, Ian swam against the current and moved to Halifax, where his skewed bi-coastal perspective spills over into his comedy. A favourite at clubs and bars throughout the maritimes, you may have heard him on XM radio or seen him at the inaugural PEI Comedy Festival, or at one of many Yuk Yuk's clubs across the country. He likes to take aim at life's absurdities, but his favourite target, by far, is himself."
